SURVIVING ACTORS AT THE RADISSON PORTMAN HOTEL After attending seminars and workshops the whole day in London, meeting top names in the industry, one stood out. Here is what he said: 'The secret to a long and successful career is surviving. Not talent, not hard work but the will to keep going, keep surviving. Talent and hard work helps, and there are many talented and hard working actors, but only those are successful who know the secret to surviving is surviving'.
WHEN PARENTS MESS UP My father a hunter and farmer, once lost control over his trained hunting dog. I was just saved in time before savaged to pieces in my pram. As a toddler I fell into a large bucket of boiling suds, left by my mother on the tiled floor in the farmhouse kitchen. 3rd degree burns. My father always pushed me away, and my mother told me when I was 16, that I was too ugly to find a boyfriend. The wounds parents inflict hurts, they emerge again and again unless we move on. Yes, I was strong enough to move on.
